:iagree: MDB Armor is the only way to go.

I don't see Envoy bumpers listed on your menu, any chance your going to have on in production soon? :raspberry:

I'm going to start working on a prototype for a 3" body lift Envoy front bumper, at some point, here, when I get closer to caught up...

I can do something for somebody local, or something like disconnects or something... Until I saturate the markets on GMT-360/370 stuff, probably not anything production-wise...

He needs to expand into some of the other models in this platform (cough) Envoy (cough) before expanding into a different platform. :raspberry:

Mike, would you agree that running your front bumper without a radiator skid exposes the radiator more than a stock bumper cover?
The reason I ask is that where I go (the beach, around fields hunting etc) I'll likely never need skids but I'd like to be able to have a winch up front.
A front hitch will likely suite my needs just fine except it does take away some clearance up front and your bumpers really aren't that much more expensive.

I've thought about when I decide to make the next step to just get a bumper since it would only be a few hundred more $$$ but I'm thinking you would almost have to have to have a rad skid to keep a stray rock on the highway or a piece of broomstraw or something from getting stuck in your radiator.

Am I on the right track?

Who's LT did you use for the bumper model? That hood looks awesome on it.

That would be mine... No doubt that MDB stuff is great!! I mean come on that bumper passed the nose dive test on the dunes without a scratch on it!!!

This is correct, though it's still exposed with the stock bumper, because it's just the plastic facia protecting it... No protection from directly underneath... There are also the large cooling holes in the stock bumper that expose it, as well... IMO, the rad skid is a go-to item, with or without the factory bumper...

Thanks,
Mike

I will be doing front bumpers for 3" body lift Envoy pretty soon, but as soon as I find somebody locally who wants a standard Envoy front bumper, I'll start making those, too...

Question was asked in my sliders thread about you doing them, so you may want to cover that in here.

They're still in testing... Look good, but still testing... I've go so much time in a set, though, that I just haven't gotten any more made...

Why do you need the disconnects if you are lowering?

the overall design seems like it would last alot better than a stock or oe like replacement. I sell regular ones about two-three sets a week for trail/voys weekly now at my store. If they end up lasting four times as long and half the price of 4 sets i'd buy regardless..... disconnect er not. makes Cents to me

Having not done one yet, I'd say around $400, base... 2" receiver ads $50

Here's a peek at the prototype 3" body lift winch bumper... It still needs cleaned up a bit, the fairlead cutout, and powder coated, but it's mostly there... The bottom of the bumper is the bottom of the frame, like my standard bumpers, and because of the angle, while it does stick out farther at the top, there is no loss in approach angle from my standard bumpers...

Went ahead and slammed a couple more pieces of tube on Kyle's bumper, when he was helping me with the 2" body lift winch bumper, this weekend...

Thanks, DJ! Specifically look at the group buy thread... It's got the most pictures and prices and such... The standard bumper pictures in the first post aren't the new generation ones, like mine, shown in the first post of this thread, but it's pretty current on pricing... Anything more specific, just shoot me a PM and we can talk about it...

Thanks,
Mike

Mike came through in a HUGE WAY with my second custom radiator skid plate. First one was also custom due to my unique one-off bumper from a local fabricator before Mike got into the bumper business. But it was aluminum, I bashed the bejeezus out of if in three years, and I had to retire it when I got a 2" body lift and had the bumper relocated 2" higher up.

Mike had me take all kinds of measurements for my unique situation, sent me a CAD drawing I printed up here in 3' X 4' size and cut out and taped to cardboard and I verified the template worked. It arrived two days earlier than predicted by Fedex, and I was able to install it today with my ORTB buddy DirtyBacon's help.

Would have been an absolute plug and play install except for my massively bent-up lower radiator mounts. Lots of levering, tugging, malleting, and sledging to get them into a semblance of rectilinearity so the plate could be jacked up into position. Only held on with the two bumper nuts and two front crossmember bolts at the moment, but that's enough to wheel with. Nice work, Mike!!! Thanks!!!!

Showing the precision tab cut work that mates to my bumper bolts, and how the 45 degree angle mates up with my bumper's leading edge:
