Wanted to drop, lube and air up my Envoy's spare tire. First time I ever dropped it, it was stuck. Used my small floor jack to push it up tight to the frame and that did the trick. Last time I tried dropping it, the same thing. This time I started by first driving the dropping mechanism clockwise so it would click through its tension release a couple of times (this is the first thing the owner's manual says to try) and the tire then dropped perfectly. I lubed the locking mechanism anyway.

So for those with a stuck tire, try clockwise first and then see if you get it lowered.

When you store the tire, do you crank it until it clicks twice and the valve stem up?

I've left the tire oriented as it came out of the factory, stem up. This time I definitely let it have 2 or 3 clicks when I cranked it up.
