Yes you need the add-on or you need to get the master kit. It's the one with the cut out you need for GMT360's

Got that kit in 2019. One of the cups, 3rd from left top row, started to bend without popping out the ball joint. Got the free to use kit from Advance Auto to do the job.

you mean the one in the add on kit right ? was reading that the top ball joint you can remove with the standard kit but the lower ball joint you need those cups that have the cut.

i am looking at amazon for the add on kit , there are several brands ranging from 35 to 50 , then jump to a 100 or so ,
HF have the addon on at 79, i wonder if they discount that one sometime

also what grease you guys advice to lube the rod on the clamp
i saw some you tube videos where they apply a lot of WD40 to the actual joint
let them soak for 20 mins... and they prime the rod on the clamp with grease
that helps to transfer the force of the impact or ratchet tool to the actual joint and
is not lost as friction, also the WD40 on the joint helps to detach it.

is there something better than WD40 to soften the almost welded ball joints.

do you need to apply anti seize before installing the new ones ?
and why some guys remove the axle not when working with the ball joints ??? uh ??

I think they're all the same made in the same sweat shop in China.

Whatever grease is in my gun, usually the red Lucas synth.

I've never lubed the old joint since it's a press fit.

Lube on the new one might help it slide in but since it's a press fit, might not make much difference.

It can be done without removing the axle for the upper BJ. The lower is another story.

IIRC, the upper you can get away with it on. I think I do the lower by removing the hub as well and leave the axle in place without the nut
