Exactly two years ago and 30,000 miles I replaced my lower control arms and tie rod ends. I used Beck-Arnley control arms and Moog tie rods.
The goal with the lca replacement was to get all fresh bushings and the ball joint and be nice and tight for years to come. Fail! Had new tires put on yesterday, and they showed me the drivers side rear bushing had failed, loose enough wiggle around by grabbing the rotor and lifting a little. I also noticed the boot on the lower ball joint was also torn.
So now I've got to put that job back on the list again, and put the Beck-Arnley parts off my list.
What's the down side to waiting a bit on this repair, in particular what am I doing to my new tires?
