Loud buzzing noise from speaker mounted on steering tube?



Note exactly sure what caused this I was towing 3KLB trailer.



Stopped for a rest then restarted engine then buzzing so I disconnected
the two wires going into this small speaker mounted at steering tube.



What was this some sort of over heat protection to either turn of the engine or overheat?

The temp guage on dash is normal temp.



Should this speaker be reconnected?

Sounds like something aftermarket. Any chance you can take a pic of this speaker?

Low buzzer could possiablley be a messed up GM burgluar alarm.



I’m thinking it has something to do w/ the echo/sounded backup warning sys.



I removed this echo sounder sys. 2 years ago.

Definitely doesn't look factory, unless it's a Saab thing. Can you trace the wires from it and see where they are going.

Nope. Definitely not factory.

Yeah, random small Phillips sheet metal screw holding it. All in agreement with aftermarket.

I'd probably trace it to see what the mother unit is and remove it if unused.
