There are so few video series that will show the painful, truthful details of how difficult it turned out for the VOP to be able to pull and replace a Trailblazer 4.2L Engine that had Thrown a Rod through the Driver's Side of the Engine Block and thereby making an already difficult process infinitely worse. The VOP is "TLCBear2" and he is a person who also has the impediments of very serious health issues and a weight condition that will have caused him to have to medicate throughout the various and sundry visits he has to make to the local hospital... some of which involve him getting injured while performing this 4.2L Engine Swap. His videos are long... often rambling... sometimes damned near incoherent... but try not to judge this man too harshly as he will allow his camera(s) to run through most of the major difficult aspects of doing EVERYTHING to make this happen...and therein lies the value of these vignettes.

One other problem this fellow has is that he has so many engine rebuild(s) and other unrelated projects ongoing at any given time that he will tend to blend blend these topics together in such a manner that his "stream of unconsciousness" will make it a bit difficult to put any of these videos in their proper orders of operation. The other aspect of the problem is that he has no methodology for organizing the nomenclature of his recordings in any standard way... so it will become maddening to observe him laboring on something for almost 30 minutes and then watch him collapse into whatever chair he has nearby ...and after much resulting exhaustion and heavy breathing... he tends to have to sleep... and when those things happen... you will not know when or how the consecutive segments can be found. But as you witness what happens as the backcloth of this Man's sad story... remember not to be too unkind.

But... No Matter. In spite of his Diabetes, in spite of his Kidney Stones and in spite of his unhealthy Obesity... this man struggles through until the very end to finish the Trailblazer Engine Swap. He will make an incredible number of mistakes that will hold value for the Experienced and for the Novice Mechanic thinking about doing this job...and yet even he will also do things that will make sense to you and give those who intend to R&R their own LL8 Motors hope that if this Poor Soul can actually succeed in getting the job done... even after a year of filming the project... perhaps they can do likewise. I can't begin to suggest where to start to logically locate all of the videos he shot... but this link to his Youtube Channel will give anyone interested in the challenge...the chance to learn a whole lot about how to do this unenviable mechanical repair ...from one of US... and from a very unusual Human Being:
