Smoothed and painted mirror covers!

IMAG0082.jpg

Tight. And so easy. Should've done it the day it was bought.

How did you smooth them out?

Yup, I'll be adding the signals as soon as I can find a decent deal on the parts.

As far as smoothing them, very simple. Sanded them down with 180 grit paper until i got down under the bumps (didn't take much) then smoothed out with 600.

Prep with wax and grease remover, then one coat plastic primer, 3 coats red, 4 coats clear, and an overnight dry in the house.

Simple, effective, easy, and about 30 bucks total. Win!

Very nice! Just what I was hopeing to see. Wanted to know what it looked like in our color.

That looks extra HOT on the red. Not too many red 'Blazers on the road. Very nice!

When I was looking for a TrailBlazer I had to have the victory red. Luckily I ended up finding a really nice one locally that was well taken care of. Shame they only made this color one year.

I see alot of 360's around here but only a couple that are victory red. Didn't realize it was an 02 only color...

Looks good man. That has been on the to do list for a while.

the little things that are taken for granted look the best... nice addition... now you just gotta do the door handles :raspberry:

Yep! Sure is. Thanks, I tinted the mirror turns to. Probly get some leds to replace the factory bulbs but they still work ok for now.

You're going to want to do this to your mirrors next.....

Quit reminding me... Did your mirrors get sanded down smooth first, or was it just a good sand job on the paint?

Eh... idk man. It looks real good on your color, but I think it'd be too much on the red.
