Has anybody noticed the discrepancy between the Saab and it's counterparts?

According to KBB my 2008 Saab 9-7x 4.2 w/ 115K mi in good condition is valued (private party) at $4091

A 4wd Trailblazer LT w/leather is $5176

An Envoy SLT is $5,500

I get it that Saab as a company doesn't exist anymore, but considering the mechanicals are the same except for selectable 4wd, (or better in the case of suspension, brakes and steering.) the discrepancy seems large to me.

Looking for thoughts on the perceived value of a 9-7x. Does it command that much of a discount?

I tend to see them for more than the chevy/gmc counterpart when actually for sale. KBB is basically a joke IMO. Have you looked at NADA? Still not the most accurate, but better than KBB I think.

Nada clean trade-in values*

Saab $4400
Chevy LT 4wd $5950
GMC SLT 4wd $6700

*all 2008 4.2i w/tow package. leather, premium bose, 115,000 mi. Central Virginia

Interesting that Nada clean trade-ins are higher than Kbb PP "Good" values.

I'm actually surprised. New, they were the most expensive GMT360 you could buy and were equipped just a little better with better suspension, steering and HID headlights. The used market for them here is also higher. Maybe the books just see them as an oddball truck and prices it as such.

What was better for steering?

There is also the Black Book which would be interesting to see how it compares

I've done a bit of searching and end up with the same part # across the board for all the R&P's. Am I missing something in my searching skills? I know I'm going to have to change mine out as it's been bleeding out fluid for over a year now. I'd really like the quick steer on the Voy.

Sorry back on topic..... Haha, my Voy is a few pennies more then your tb's. Lol. Maybe not I've got almost 180k miles on the the dash. It's only worth a lot to me personally cause I pamper and keep it running right and true. Oh and it's never left the lady in my life on the side of the road.
