Just bought a new set of emblems for my 9-7. I know how to change the wheels center caps, and how to replace the one on the rear hatch. I need help removing the hood emblem and steering wheel emblem. Anybody have any advice!

Hood emblem on a 9-7X Im not sure of, on the TB/Voys you just pull the grille and unbolt it from the rear.

Steering wheel, you do know its actually an integral part of the airbag right? Ive never seen anyone replace the emblem, just cover it with a vinyl overlay.

The hood emblem is actually like a "gel" texture and right on the hood of the car, guessing I can maybe heat it up and try and take it off like I would as if I was debadging it.
I wasn't too sure if the steering wheel emblem was attached to the airbag or not. I ordered a set for my truck from a recommended seller on ebay, (focuslima). Guessing the steering wheel emblem is a vinyl overlay.
Thank you for the info.

Ah, does it just say "SAAB"? Remove it just like you would an emblem, heat gun/hairdryer, fishing line and goop-off.

So let's think about this. The rear hatch emblem actually fits inside a round holder so not stuck directly onto the paint. I'm thinking the front one is stuck right onto the hood right? I can't see mine at the moment. My only advice is make sure you tape off the hood around the emblem well. As for the airbag emblem, it doesn't just say SAAB as asked above but is instead the SAAB Griffin but yeah that can't be replaced without replacing the airbag. For those without SAABs, the emblems on these things come off all the time especially in high pressure car washes. The carfax for my 9-7 showed the front emblem was replaced at like 20k miles and the one thing I've had to do to it since i've owned it appearance-wise was replace the rear emblem which came off in a carwash.

Sorry, missed this response. If the hood emblem is a gel texture, that means it is a cheap replacement version of the oem version. The oem is a not gel it is a hard plastic with the Griffin inside the plactic. You can buy either the OEM for a lot of money or the vinyl version kock off for a lot less. That is if I am understanding you and because I had to sort through the cheapo's on ebay to find the oem verison when I replace my rear emblem.
