Jounce Bumpers

While under the truck to change the rear end links I noticed that the jounce bumpers are disintegrating. They are made of some kind of orange foam rubber and I can flake it off when touched. I don't think it's an urgent problem since they only are used when the rear is heavily loaded.

It looks to me a giant pair of channel lock pliers around the metal base could unscrew it. Has anybody replace the jounce bumpers - how do you do it?

They actually just pop out. No screwing needed.

So just lever them out with a prybar or big screwdriver between the metal base and the frame?

I thought I'd have to do some screwing around:rotfl:

No. The metal base is not removable. The rubber just pops in or out of cup
