I've torn down a P12 PCM and am trying to ID the processor. I think the markings include a Delphi part number. The processor has the form factor of a Freescale PPC MPCxxx series. Can anybody run Delphi numbers?

Here are the markings:

185
09394824 <= Delphi Number???
k62k
UQQXG0349C

And here's some gratuitous P12 nudity:

I think I have the processor ID'd: FreeScale Coldfire MCF523x. Probably a -3 or -5.
It's a beastie that screams along at 150 mHz, 32 bit instructions.
AFAIK, this is the ONLY GM PCM that ever used a Coldfire product. Wouldn't you know it. The good news is that the instruction set is more or less the same as the Motorola 68k's so there should be plenty of tools and knowledge to hack the code.

Good info, remember the 07s are a little different than the 04-06s with 2MB of flash vs 1MB. Id imagine GM used the same processor as I dont think EFILive or HPTuners has a specific bootloader for the 07 vs 04-06s. :thumbsup:

Yep, I'd like to double check. Gotta brick a 2007 so I have excuse to rip the lid off, lol.

The 2006 Trailblazer bin file and disassembly are up for download on lime-swap. The answers to all of life's mysteries are contained therein. Just have to reverse engineer the assembly code.

I am not sure if anyone is still following this thread, however I have IDed the processor, flash chip and many other items to include pictures of the processors under a microscope. I also have information related to the P10 PCM as well. Follow my threads over at pcmhacking.net.
