How to Repair Stripped Out COP Fasteners:

If you make the mistake of “Honking Down” Too Hard on the Coil On Plugs Hold-Down Fasteners with anything more than 87 INCH Pounds of Torque… One of Two Bad things will very likely happen:

(A) The Hold Down Bolt will Snap Off close to the Top of the Engine Head Threaded Hole.
(B) The Internal Engine Head Threads will EASILY STRIP RTF OUT.

And after Cringing... You'll be Thinking

"Well…. WTF am I Gonna Do….Now?

The Problem Location:

GM Atlas LL8 4.2L Aluminum Engine Head at the Flat Surfaces Adjacent (6) Spark Plug Wells

Hole Dimensions: Metric - M6X1.0X15MM DO NOT USE AN SAE REPAIR SOLUTION!

The CHEAPEST and LEAST Reliable Method is to BUY a Helicoil Kit Part # 5546-6 from Amazon:

However, The BEST, Most Permanent AND Most Expensive Solution is to use The TIME-SERT System... and the GOOD NEWS is that you can get The Kent-Moore Tool Kit Specific to Just THIS Problem for Under $50.00... HERE:

(7) Once Finished, Clean Up the Entire Work Areas around these Repairs & Re-Install the Items in (1).
(8) Re-Install the Coil On Plug(s) Lightly Lube The Bolt Threads
(9) DO NOT EXCEED 87 INCH POUNDS OF TORQUE When Tightening Them DOWN.
(10) DO NOT USE TOO MUCH COUNTER-TORQUE WHEN TRYING TO UNWIND THE 'COP' HOLD DOWN BOLTS.
