I did a search and couldn't find anything relevant I was wondering how do u remove the plastic pieces on the sides of The front buckets on the envoys. Not the seat control cover but the other pieces on The side. I've tried prying and pulling on them in hopes that they just pop out bit no luck.

If your talking about the smaller trim pieces that cover the corners and the areas where the seat bolts are, there is a sheet metal screw on the back side.

this is the part im referring to

Well that looks like the cover for the side airbag, it is NOT meant to be removed. It is highly dangerous to remove if you do not know what you are doing. Why would you want to remove it?

Some of us do not have air bags there from the factory. If I could afford a nice set of CatSkins that cover the hole I would remove it. Also not very dangerous, disconnect the battery and fuse for the side air bags. Wait about 5-10 minutes for the capacitors to discharge and removal should be a snap. Air bags are not dangerous when handled correctly.

Best thing I have found, I can check the manuals that have been uploaded and check them when I get time. I swear I seen a how to with pics on the OS.

Well the seats are out of the truck I only want to remove that to paint it black. I had my seats redone black and that and the seatbelt and seatbelt bezel are still gray. Mine is a little different than pictured mine dips in instead.

Which means you have no airbag there, that is just a delete plate to fill the hole.

OK gotcha I guess I'm not going to remove it to paint it,sounds like a lot of work and being The fact my seats were just redone I don't wanna try removing the material.

If you just want to paint it just slide some heavy paper in under the edges and mask it off and paint away. Paint will flake off over time. I have seen plastic dye it sprays on like paint but soaks in to actually change the color(Eastwood or LMC I think). Then of course there is always the Krylon Fusion paint made for plastic.

Depending on the finish IE matte or gloss. I would use a good clear for gloss which would last a long time, and for matte I would do plasti-dip, as its easy, removable and if the guys doing their wheels have taught us anything, it is actually pretty tough as a temp finish.

Im using SEM dye that I used for all of my other panels so far. seems to hold up good.
