HID Projectors Installed

I installed Morimoto H1 Bi-Xenon projectors last weekend with DDM 5000 HID bulbs. Once you get past opening the headlights up, the install is very easy. I think they look great in the daytime and night time. I think I should open the lights back up and fix a small rotation issue, but they aren't off too much. The light output at night is better than stock, but I was expecting a little bit bigger difference. I think that the TB lights are really not that bad stock, so that is why the light isn't blowing me away. My wife has a 2008 civic that I will be putting these in next, and it is very hard to see at night because the lights are so bad. So I think in a car like that the difference will be very noticeable. For the $100 I spent I think its a great mod, and now I have true quad high beams.

I love it! Been looking on and off at doing this to the Bravada. And it makes me want to even more.

Ya, I knew I should have taken some night pictures before I posted. I just went out and took some. These are from a Droid, so don't be too hard on me...and it is difficult to find anywhere dark in the city. Like I said before, it looks like I have the projectors even with each other, but rotated a little to the left, so that is something I will have to fix. Decent for the first time doing this. I got these projectors at theretrofitsource.com. They are the previous gen Mini H1s so they were half price for $30 each. I dont think you can really beat that deal. I was looking to get one for my motorcycle and realized how easy (minus the headlight separation) and inexpensive they were so I ended up getting 5 of them. I tried to get some pics of the lights pointed at me, but the camera phone cant handle it. Looking at the pics on here, the camera really cant capture the right color either.

Dual High Beam. I have to get some white high beam bulbs to match.

Cutoff against a wall. Probably 15 feet away. Slightly sloped to the left.

I agree with the start doing. I know some projectors can take some work, but with the design of the Morimoto Mini H1s, this was basically plug and play.

I need to do a better job saving money, so I can bump this up higher on the mod priority list

Thanks for the advice smitty, I was able to go out this morning and adjust the projectors easily from the back without taking the headlights apart like I was worried. They are much closer now. A little more fine tuning and I think I will be good to go.

This cost me $100 total because I got the overstock projectors from TRS, and I am also using DDM bulbs because I already had them so that also keeps the cost down. I may switch to better bulbs at some point, but I think the DDM are working for now.

I thought the Bravada had a decent factory cut-off... Still not near that sharp. Well looks like in the next year this is something I need to add to the list... I need to quit getting on here... :raspberry:
