help 4 wd issue

So I replaced both actuators on the 07 tb front Axel and on the transfer case. No service light when I switch in 4 hi I'm not getting anything other than like a chatter underneath it sounds close to the front can't tell all the lights stay solid on the switch please help . Lol it goes in sometimes and sometimes not I'm stumped

Almost always a mechanical failure in the splined disconnect that the front axle actuator presses on. Won't show an indicator light failure for this sort of thing.

Discussed in MANY other threads over the previous month, it happens so often. Links to diagnose it and rebuild/replace it are in those threads.

You can get a splined disconnect for like $300-400? Dorman and ATP both have aftermarket units, I think they don't come with the actuator unit so you'll have to save the one from yours if it's in good condition.
