Headlight Issue

Hi, I have a problem that is happening more and more frequently. My low beams are turning themselves off. The rest of my lights stay on. The high beams will come on when I push the stalk, and the low beams will come back on later after playing with the switches. I thought the shutoff may have been related to using the brake pedal, but there's definitely no relationship. The bulbs are almost new, the fuses are fine, and I can't find any loose connections. Any ideas?

That sounds like the relay (#46) is getting flaky.

Along with changing the relay, check that the connections for the battery are tight. Not finger tight, but tight with a wrench.

Does anyone know the number of the relay? I've seen one online for $37, and one for $13. Not an insubstantial difference at my current income level.
