I wanted to say hello as a new member of GMT Nation. I've recently purchased a 2005 Buick Rainier CXL AWD with the 5.3L V8 and found this site as a resource for doing some minor repairs and upgrades to it. I've owned several dozen vehicles, most needing anywhere from major repairs to nearly full restoration, so this Buick is almost a new experience since it is in nearly flawless shape.

So far the few repairs/modifications I've made have been:
  • Bilstein 4600 shocks up front
  • Monroe shocks rear (until the Bilstein 4600 rear shocks get off of back-order and get shipped to me)
  • Continental Gen2 rear air bags
  • Turned off AFM via HPTuners
Tom

Welcome bud. What are your future plans for the truck?

As it sits right now, I don't really have any other plans for it except to add some in-cabin air filters and maybe replace the slowly-failing 6-disc head unit. I have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that needs some mod attention, so the Rainier will probably stay mostly stock for the occasional road trip and regular kid-hauling duty.
