Went to a shop to replace the window with a $100 window now mind you it is not OEM and was $100 installed. Than this happened:

Got it fixed tho. Now I need to figure out where to get an OEM that wont cost $500

That would just make me so happy that I would lose it on the little bastards that did that.:hissyfit::hissyfit: Your only hope is that one day the little shits have a nice ride and some ass breaks a window or 4 and then keys it for fun...:yes::yes: Than may be you can smile over the whole thing.

That sucks man.

I know that feeling and I have been seriously contemplating a low-drain video system with tiny cameras placed in the tint area or just out of sight to record almost 360 deg of view. We get a lot of vandalism around my work and I have been victim once already. To catch someone on video would weigh the price of the system a few times over.

Have you tried any salvage yards?

Does anyone know what oe glass would cost ? Its bugging me that the window is.clear and not oe.

Ill tell you had they been cought by me no police would be called. I would have my self a hand necklace.

BTW GPS, my Bible, an obd2 scanner a set.of tools and my glock 19 was all in the truck all that they stole was my half pack of Marlboros I left on the seat
They even left.my zippo next.to the smokes

That's sucks man I woulda lost it after seeing what they did and all they took was a pack of cigs. I hope you can find an oem window but I think rockauto started doing windows but not sure if they're just doing windshields. Might wanna check them out if you can't find one locally at a salvage yard. Sorry that happened to you again.

Wow that sucks.....
I live in an apartment with cameras in the underground so i'd be able to go on a manhunt and deal with them correctly

On another note, somebody got caught on camera yesterday keying another persons car... He now has either 60 days to leave the building or pay for a max detailing to repair all the paint/dents/scratches on the car

Sorry to hear the bad news but happy to hear a proper window replacement is all that's needed, no dents, scratches or other shit to deal with. You still got all your stuff and that's a bonus! What is wrong with people that they gotta mess with other peoples stuff, that shit totally pisses me off. Punk ass kids that haven't been taught respect, bad parenting probably to blame...

Years ago my bride left her car unlocked one night, on garbage night of all nights, woke up in the morning and the little bastards had filled (completely stuffed) her car with all the garbage bags from in front of the neighbors houses. Can't tell you how pissed off I was.

Hope your ride gets back to normal real soon

Damn bro, that sucks
I've had the same thing happen, not to the tb, thank God...
I live WAYYYYYYYY out in the country, and a buddy of mine woke up a few months ago the sound of his car alarm. Ran outside with a 12 guage and let off 8 shells of 2 3/4" steel shot (gotta loved prepared country folk during duck season :rotfl:) in the direction of the car that was sideways going out of the driveway.
Just imagine, my buddy is 6'5" 375lbs lol with a shotty just like mine

That sucks man- I hate to hear stuff like this. If there is any bright side- at least they didn't take your other stuff. Probably some crackhead that saw a delicious pack of reds- or possibly someone under 18 that wanted to be cool. Either way I feel for you bro. Good luck!

I hope you catch the little bastards :hissyfit: I guessing it's some young punks (<18), so if you find out who it is, if their dad doesn't "take care of it" beat HIS ass :Boxin::stars:

I noticed you live in Commifornia, I guessing a Glock 19 in your truck wasn't legal, you might want to be careful what you put online

I have fond memories of my time in California, while in Lompoc, my then-less than a year old K car had four tires sidewall ice picked. after a high school football game. ( I installed tubes)

and after moving on base, a random smash of my 65 Chevy pickup passenger side window. it was not even locked. (was in the part of base housing not behind a gate)

something in the water...

Shitty deal bro, crackheads suck! A buddy of mine had a window smashed out and all they took was $2.85 worth of dimes and pennies from the center console! What can you really do with two dollars and eighty five cents??! I guess more then you can do with 10 smokes.

If it wasn't in a metal box bolted down with the screw heads inside the box, I'd never leave it in the vehicle. But that's me. Every weapon that gets stolen from a legitimate owner fuels the flames.

I am sorry that happened to you. My Envoy has been down for a couple of months while I slowly work on bringing it back to life. I went to work on it the other day and found that someone decided to decorate my passenger side with a key. I just did a clay bar and paint correction last year. I had it almost completely scratch free and shining like crazy. Now I got a mess to fix from fender to quarterpanel on an XL.:hissyfit:

as much as I hate to re-open an old wound with this thread...my gf and I were walking out of work tonight, and someone had knocked out her passenger window in her mazda 3 and took her purse, $250 +/-, purfume etc etc...I couldn't help but feel helpless looking at her face :quiverlips:
didn't get a pic of it, but there was glass everywhere, took me 20 min at the car wash to get it all out for her
I hate people...

Sorry that happened to you and your wife bro. That's what happened to my wife at her job a year ago. Kept telling her not to leave her purse in her car even though its parked right in front of it with cameras and all. People need to go and try working for what they want instead of stealing from others.

Yea, you guys are right. There are individuals that I care about and would do anything for. But, people in a general sense, just plain suck. It seems like once things seem like they are going good, your number pops up and something shitty happens.
I hope the person gets caught, and pays for what they done, but at the same time I hope I don't find out who it was first...
