While everybody is lowering the TBs down and putting 20s and 22s I've decided to put stock SS springs in the front and rear and get the SAAB 9-7x spoke rims.

So my current tire size is 245/75/16R (30.5)

The new tire size would be 225/45/18R (26)

Or

The other choice 235/50/18R (27.3)

So what would be affected if I decide to go this route? I know the speedo would be off, thinking maybe MPG might be a tad better? Maybe the front wouldn't feel so heavy in the steering with my current tire set up?

I ordered my rear springs, should be getting them this week. When I was checking out the suspension, realized I had the black bilsteins front and rear and yes I have read up on them and how a lot don't like them. I assume with the tire size decreasing maybe the Bilsteins might be better?

Well stock size is 28-ish inches so you'd be closer to that than you are now. I wouldn't go 225 though, that is really skinny.
