Got tapped on the shoulder over at another forum--was told this is where everyone was moving!

We've been closely tracking the reliability of vehicles as they age with prompt quarterly updates. Though the GMT360 is out of production, we'll keep tracking them as long as enough owners participate.

Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.

To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the GMT360, for free. I'll share results for the GMT360 in this thread after each update.

Can someone put the hard numbers up here without me having to join or sign in to somewhere else?
curious because my '05 has been "reliable" to me. Like to see what problems others have and what to watch for.

You can see a certain number of reported repairs without joining. We do encourage people to join to help improve the quality of the information. As noted above, we really don't have enough participants for the 2005, so the lower, better stats for the 2004 and 2006 are probably more accurate.

Hi,

I have been a True Delta contributor for a while and just added my recently acquired Envoy.

I noticed in signing up I wasn't able to specify I6 vs V8 engine which if lumped together could skew the reliability of one or other. Any plans to be able to specify engine? Or did I miss it in the sign up process?

Never mind, I found it in the "garage" area and updated it.

This information can be optionally entered when signing up. But if it's not entered it'll be requested with the first survey.

For those who haven't yet signed up, we need more participants if we're to continue covering these SUVs. More members have been selling them than buying them, reducing the sample sizes.

We've updated our reliability stats for the TrailBlazer and other GMT360s to include owner experiences through the end of 2015, about eight months ahead of other sources. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year--lower is better:

2008 TrailBlazer: 76, moderate
2007 TrailBlazer: 64, moderate, small sample size
2006 TrailBlazer: 98, high
2005 TrailBlazer: 81, moderate, small sample size
2004 TrailBlazer: 98, moderate, small sample size
2003 TrailBlazer: 73, low, small sample size
2002 TrailBlazer: 86, moderate, small sample size

No stat, or a small sample size? Then we especially need more owners involved for that model year.

If we don't have enough stats for a model year it's because not enough owners have been participating in the survey.

If enough owners of the 2009 sign up and participate, we'll have a stat for it.

Because 2009 was both the last year and the lowest production year, there will be lower stats on those.

From Wikipedia:
Yearly American sales
Calendar Year Total American sales
2001[9] 115,103
2002 249,568
2003 261,334
2004[10] 283,484
2005 244,150
2006[11] 178,493
2007 151,985
2008[12] 119,905
2009 22,287
