GM TSB on cold start noises. (Full size)

They're calling the noises that the tahoe makes normal... meanwhile the TSB basically states it is a design fault. SMH.

Well, I don't remember hearing such noises in the 2015 Tahoes I would drive at work, even in well below freezing temps.

Interesting that they went to a "two speed vane" type oil pump. Wonder how they will fare on durability?

Knowing that vane pumps don't like to be run dry, probably not well. The 16 Silverado doesn't do it either. I don't like it. And the dealer writer told me these are bullet proof. My next question is will I get 260k out of it like the 6.0l in the Escalade. Are they that bullet proof? He didn't respond and I'd tend to agree.

A little early to know whether you'll get 160k or id an engine thst is only a few short years in the market.

They do a lot of fleet service with enterprise. The 18 we rented in may had 45k on it at the time. I'd imagine the fleet stuff is well into 100k (15-16s anyway)
