I'm now paying $2.90 per gallon on the Reservation. If this keeps up I'll be looking for an SS :undecided:
BTW off of the Res. in WNY people are paying about $3.60 :hissyfit:

I hope this trend continues for sure. One thing that worries me slightly is starting next year, there will be a higher mandate on fuel economy on 2015 cars and this is one reason there are crazy high HP vehicles being produced this year.

I hope it's not a bait and switch for the gas guzzlers this year.

On a brighter note, the dollar is a little stronger and I agree the oil prices are turning to our favor.

Every morning this week gas was 2.98 or 2.99 and after work same stations were 3.29.

Wow. Its been a long time since I have seen gas under $3 a gallon. Last time I seen under $3, I was living in NC.

Prices around have not really moved in price for weeks. I only look at the price for 93 Octane and it has been steady at $3.60. 87 octane has been around $3.30.

Not sure if anyone of you use the Gas Buddy app for Android, but it will search gas stations near you that you can sort by octane, distance, and price.

I typically check the app before fill up time to see where I can get it the cheapest. You can also update gas prices if it is more/less than what the app says. Pretty nice. Here's a screen shot.

Haven't checked this morning yet but yesterday it was $1.20 a litre. It had been all the way up to $1.42 a litre at times this summer!

I used to use Gas Buddy all the time. Once I realized my grocery card gives me discounts at Shell stations, that pretty much settled that. We've been around the $3.20 mark, give or take a nickel for the last couple of weeks. Thankfully now that I live closer to work, if I don't do too much driving outside of my commute, I only have to fill up about every 4 weeks.

I use Petro Canada as they offer the points card which gives me 10 cents a litre discount plus they have the highest octane as Suncore(Sunoco) bought them out and kept the name and uses their product.

Gas prices are jumping all over the place here. Have not seen regular below the $3.00 mark yet. Close at $3.05. Averaging 21mpg combined this tank. I don't drive the envoy much during the week due to having a company vehicle. It can sit all week sometimes without moving. Always moves on the weekend though. Gotta get bait and out to the lake to get a line wet or something just doesn't feel right.

Reason prices are on their way down is that the demand is lower with the end of summer driving season and it's not quite cold enough for heating fuel use so there is a glut of oil on the market. We're seeing $1.14/liter at some stations around here. That's about $4.31CAD/US gal or $3.85USD/US Gal.

It's only temporary :frown:

Got gas yesterday for $2.999.

One of these days I want to pump exactly 1.00 gallons and demand my 1/10 penny change!

My grocery does the same. Every $100 spent is 10 cents off a gallon and expires every six weeks. Very easy to rack up money off gas.

$1,90/ litre. I would be very happy if it would go down under $1,40, but that will never happen.

A couple of years ago it was decided that gas prices would have to be $2,80 / litre by 2020 so the CO2 goals can be fulfilled.

I have to experiment with e85 again, at $1,25/litre it would be worth it even if mpg goes down.

~ 3.09 here. After getting the Samsung GS5A several weeks ago, the Gasbuddy app was the first to be downloaded.
Filled up last night at 3.01 on my trip to Lansing. I even went 70 MPH!

:offtopic:

Apps didn't work with my Nokia 5180iP. lol.
