NEED HELP Gas Cap Loose

Hi everyone

So I guess I've had this light pop up enough times to actually get down to see what's going on.

So it comes on usually in the middle of my drive and goes away after a while as well. I have also noticed once while I was refuelling that petrol was thrown out of the tank once or twice.

Now would these symptoms point to air in the gas tank and would this mean I need to get a new tank or should I just get a new gas cap lid.

I know I put it a bit vaguely, but it only pops up when I'm driving. When I pull over it's either gone or by the time I can pull over it's already disappeared. And it doesn't help me not having an OBDII scanner. Really must get one

Yeah, it is a known failure item so replacing it is pretty standard.
