Hi Everyone,
Well this is a pretty straightforward process but I had taken a lot of pictures while I was swapping my one out, so I thought why not!
Well the first thing is to get a new gas cap. The part number is GM# 15794103. I got it for 95 SR ($25.00)
My old one was pretty much done for and I was getting some EVAP leak codes (P0455 and P0442) so I thought the best and cheapest thing to do would be to change the gas cap.
The first thing is to remove the old one from its holding place, mine was screwed in to the door of the petrol tank, used a Philips head screw driver and pulled it out from there. Then unscrew the old one and screw in the new cap in place.
Then attach the new caps support, holder in place of the old one. My new one had no screw, to keep it in place it just snaps into the opening of the old one.
And that's it! your new cap is installed and hopefully it will help you take care of maybe the codes I have been getting or if you have been getting the Gas Cap Loose indicator pop up on your Instrument Cluster.
Thanks
