Decent Bi-Directional Scan Tool that will allow you to "Scan and COMMAND" Modules to do certain things. Otherwise, with everything being hidden down inside the Fuel Tank, there is no other way to confirm that the replacement components respond and report properly.

Obtaining an inexpensive VXDIAG-NANO Scan Tool that will emulate the Tech2 Scanner and allow access to the TIS2000 SPS Software for PCM Calibration Updates which might also be key to solving this problem. The "GYMKO" Tech 2 Clones and the VDIAG Tech 2 Emulators are also good all the way up to 2013 for most GM and GMC Vehicles...
so your 2007 "Silvy" is well within that Update Wheel-House.
