Front differential drain - '95 S-10

The shop manual shows a drain plug for the front differential on my 95 S-10 PU. I like to change the gear oil every several years and each time I end up sucking out what I can thru the fill plug. I can't find a drain. Even tried removing a couple of the lower case bolts thinking maybe they acted as a drain. No luck. Anyone have knowledge if GM put a drain in these trucks?.. or more generally, how do you drain the front differential?

if the front is a straight axle and not IFS with no drain, you should be able to just remove the cover.
Loosen the bottom first so the gear oil will run out the bottom.
Some of those gaskets are re-usable and others are not, you might want to get a gasket before you start.

Thanks for the replies. No cover to remove. I was able to get about 1/2 of the lub out via the fill plug. Just strange. Maybe GM's thought process was the duty cycle on the front axle didn't warrant a means to completely drain and refill.
