Hi there!
I don't even remember how I got hooked with this Saab... or ultimate Trailblazer even if it just happened months ago, but one thing is for sure, that is after riding shotgun multiple times with my coworker's big Tahoe with a 5.3 in it, I decided I want a truck like that as well: spacious, powerful, last forever if treated right, and something made in the USA. Doesn't have to have that much cargo space for me.
It's a bit hard to find a decent 9-7x now with a straight 6, not to mention 5.3 v8. After missing out a very low mileage one due to indecisiveness, I immediately pulled the trigger on the next one I can find with acceptable condition, so here we are.
I drove 200+ miles to get it back from Detroit great lake area. Pre-purchase inspection showed key components - engine, brake, transmission, power steering, differential was good, suspensions were holding up for a 177k high mileage vehicle, minus one tire rod starts going out and front sway bar links are worn, all manageable with parts, tools and time. Frame has surface rust and rust spots, but it has not rot through and thus still give me time to stop its spreading. Interior is clean, leathers look like new.
This is my first truck (based SUV) and I'm very delighted to have the opportunity to learn how to operate it and keep it in good shape. It still pulls like a bull on highway! Love to drive it and here the LS roar. Will probably ask a lot of questions once I start maintaining/overhauling it lol. Wish me luck!
