finally got my system metered with spl-labs today.

144.2 @ 34.5 hz peak. running off 2 12's at 902 watts rms. Had bad voltage issues with drops as low as 10.6

Brand new optima yellowtop under the hood. Still need to do the big 3. Alternator is only 120 amp. Trying to avoid that upgrade . ugh

what type of results will the big 3 bring for me? and what would adding a second battery bring?

Any pics of your set-up?

Here's an easy to understand video of why an alternator is most critical.

Nice, what kind of mic do they use and what was the location they put it. The big 3 will help, not like a new alternator would but every little bit helps. You may also want to look into researching a bat-cap, I have not personally looked into them in a while as I have not been into heavy subs in a while. Use 1/0 gauge wire when you the big 3 and make sure you fuse alt pos-bat pos.

The last sound off I did I got 2nd place, lost to an Alpine sponsored car with 10-12" subs, and over 10k watts. I had 2-15" subs in a 10 cuft enclosure ported to 28hz. TL mic on the dash in an 89 blazer I hit 143.2 DB. The kicker, 250 watts to each sub :wootwoot:. Had an Autotex MM 4 channel amp bridge to 2 channels running 2 ascendant audio atlas subs (i miss them now).
