Exhaust Pipe Diameter After Resonator

Hello everyone!
I want to install a tip on my 07 Denali. It has factory exhaust with the resonator installed. All I want to do is remove part of the curved tailpipe after the resonator and add a tip. For this I need the correct diameter of this short pipe so that I can order the correct tip.
It appears to be smaller than the 2.75" pipe that runs from the cats before the resonator.IMG_20171022_2341389.jpg
Thanks all

Not sure myself but you could always wrap a piece of wire around it then measure the wire.

Appreciate the suggestion. Just figured with so many who have likely done exhaust work that someone would know off the cuff ☺

Not sure on the resonator as most cut it off to add a tip. I know its 2.75 back to the axle at least.

Why not just use a dial caliper?

The 5.3 might have a bigger pipe than the 4.2, which is normally 2.75.

Personally, I'd chop off the resonator and put a straight pipe with a tip. Thrash the can!

LOL if I had the tool...
I believe the 5.3L is also 2.75" as I mentioned already. I'll be installing a muffler and I want to be sure there is no drone whatsoever. Hence why the resonator stays, to each his own I guess.

Just an update guys, the pipe after the resonator is confirmed to be the same size as before the resonator at 2.75".
Appreciate your feedback everyone.
