That video is 5 years old. Scan tools have come a long time since then.
I had a Snapon Modis Ultra for a few years. The more I did, the more I found that it was lacking the ability to do a lot of special functions and the updates were ridiculously expensive at $1,200 a year so I sold it.
I bought a Launch X431 Pro 3 and used it for a year. But the tablet that it runs off of was slow and clunky so I bought an Autel MS906TS. The Autel scanner is the best one yet.
Recently, I was working on a 2011 Buick Regal and compared the functions between GDS2 and the Autel and found that the Autel could do everything that the factory GDS2 could do.
