Engine swap - remove tranny or leave it?

What's ya'lls opinion? I've got the trans separated but I've got to bolt it back up and turn the truck around in my garage. I'm thinking more about what's easiest when hooking it all back up. Should I remove the trans with the engine so I can bolt it to the new engine before I put it back in?

I would not pull them together. Can you not push the truck out and turn it around?

No, the driveway slopes. That's not a big deal. I just got to thinking about installing.

Pulling the body off would be the easiest. If you have or can borrow a hoist, pulleys, or a bunch of dudes to lift it off and up high enough.

Otherwise, just remove the hood and intake and intake manifold and it shouldn't be too bad removing it from the engine bay.

Are you pulling the powertrain from the top or did you pull the body off of the truck?
