This is the first I'm hearing about oil pumps, pickup tubes, o-rings and their unique importance. The engine came assembled without the valve cover, oil pan and pickup tube. The builder made no mention of special o-rings or gaskets or pickup tubes. The engine came with a gasket kit that included a gasket(s) or o-ring(s) for the tube. I don't remember colors. I suppose that could be on us then.
