Don't know if I can trust them by some of the reviews I've seen. Is metal still the best?

Got any link to bad reviews? I can't believe a real company would put something out that could trigger large lawsuits. It's not like they're distributed only on Ebay by dodgy cheap chinese crud (CCC) vendors.

I think they make a couple different load bearing ramps.... I use a set for a car with no problems. They do like to slide around on pavement tho, I just throw a towel underneath them to prevent this.

I've had a set for about 6 years. Love them, they do tend to slide a little as you put the vehicle up on them. Especially on gravel. I never had an issue with them holding anything in size up to my old Tahoe.

The metal ramps I have are about 30 years old, but if I was buying now, I'd get the Rhino ramps.
IMHO, they have more support and bracing. Plus they're lighter to move around and don't rust.
As far as sliding goes, for those with 4x4, use 2LO and it walks right up.

Also, my son has a set of Rhinos and likes them.

Just lift it, I haven't had to use my ramps since I installed the lift kit.

i have a set and my 2 complaints are

they are a bit too low
and
on my smooth garage floor they slide

so i put some rubber floor mats under them and no probs

a buddy of mine took some old ratchet strap tails and hooked them on the front of his so that when he pulls up to the ramps the straps are under the rear tires and the car holds them from sliding out

i think they need to put a few more rubber feet under them

I assume you meant 4LO. :undecided:

I have a set of Rhino ramps and I love them. Much easier then my old metal ones (which I've since sold at yard sale). The only complaint I have is they like to slide on my smooth garage floor like others have said. However, my metal ones did the same thing. I'm going to try what Wooluf1952 said next time and put it in 2LO...err...4LO. Never thought about that, but that should stop them from sliding. Great idea Wooluf1952! To the OP, I would recommend the Rhino over the metal ones to anyone. Some people have said the rise isn't as much as the old metal ones, and though I can agree with that, I don't see any problem with working under the truck once up on the Rhino's. Besides that they are lighter, nicer, and won't rust.

I have a set of the Rhino 8k lbs. I have actually used them on all three of our vehicles (Intrepid, Envoy XL, and Expedition) and they are sturdy. I agree with the consensus, the rubber feet are a PITA. I usually work on my vehicle alone and I have no fear when underneath my truck. Way easier to use than the metal ramps and no corrosion to start worrying about when storing them.
