Difference in O2 sensors pre/post engine mods?

Hi all

I mistakenly bought the later model exhaust manifold from Rock Auto, it's the Dorman one. I'm installing an 03 engine but have decided to use it anyway, it's beefier and looks like it might flow a little better so why not. I can't afford to waste that much money and I'll lose half my purchase price shipping this much weight back.

Here's the snag, the O2 sensor that came with it has a different plug than the harness in my car, it's still four wire but it won't plug in as-is.

Is this likely the same O2 sensor with a differnt socket for the 07? Could I pull the pins and put them in the old plug that I still have and use it? I'd hate to have to buy another O2 sensor if this one is essentially the same.

It could be different internally but you could repin the new sensor to the old connector and give it a try. Or just reuse your old sensor. If it throws a code, then get a new sensor for.your year truck.
