Finally quit raining so I got around to the brakes.

Painted the rotors and calipers black while I was there. Got the Brake Motive kit for $170.00 off ebay. Four rotors and eight ceramic pads.

My rears are getting close. I think Ithat kit to do all 4 sunds like a good idea.

Notice any difference in stopping power?

Nice to see you back on the forum. Good call going with BrakeMotive and nice paint job. I have had my BrakeMotive for almost a year now and could not be happier. I checked my ceramic pads that came with the kit and they barely look worn. The rotors have held up well through the winter.

As far as stopping power goes, I have not done any official testing, but from running OE rotors and pads I can tell a significant difference. I can tell that I do not need much pressure on the brake pedal to get a good bite on the rotors especially driving this past winter.

I could also tell a difference in braking power when I upgaded my OE 18" wheels to the 20" and heavier SS wheels. Felt like I had to apply a lot more pressure to the brake pedal to slow down versus the BrakeMotive kit. I also did a complete brake fluid flush and refill at the same time that I did the BrakeMotive install, so that could have helped the braking as well.

Aesthetically, the kit looks great especially if you are running SS or larger aftermarket wheels.

Thanks man! I knew that's what you and some others were running... And for the price you can't beat it.

As far as stopping power. I haven't slammed them on to hard yet. But they feel really good just stopping normal.

They do look good on there. I really like the D/S vs standard rotors. Did you by any chance go to the bigger brakes from the SS/Ext? I did with the last go round and it seemed to help a bit over just the D/S upgrade i did originally.
