So my SIL/BIL had to pass on the Toyota. Nothing wrong with the van itself. Just their Autistic son kept opening the door, or not closing the door properly, leading to a heart wrenching incident on the highway. Nothing did happen, but it could have!

So its either I find them a newer mini-van, that the opening and closing of doors is controlled from the front seat, with automated doors, which means something 2011 or newer, or find something else that has regular swing open doors with child locks and 3 rows.

A 2011+ Minivan is out of their budget...

However I did find this... With a interior I have not seen before.





2003 Envoy SLT 4.2 with GT4 3.73 and no G80 and 140k miles.

Its an auction, so have not bought it yet. But I do intend to be the high bidder if its reasonable.

Are you able to get a Carfax on it? If it wasn't maintained, these 4.2's can have timing system failures. Ask me how I know

Is it at least 4x4? Other than that, it looks to be in good shape and good tires. At least it's not an XUV!

I was able to get a CarFax... Its low mileage, over maintained (like WOW), always by John Elway Chevrolet of Denver. Total of 60 service records in CarFax, and I am sure there are some that didnt get reported.

Only has 140k miles. So it was serviced, at a minimum, of every 2333 miles. I can see multiple transmission services, diff services, oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, etc.

It is a 4x4.

It sounds like a gov't vehicle. Or an old person that got swindled by that stealership. In any case, it's a keeper if you can grab it.

It also has the AM/FM CD Tape radio, Bose. It being a 2003 means its a LUX radio 15800000 TNR, which I have one in my spare parts bin.

Ascender Tail Lights, are they just plug and play, but the reverse light doesnt work?

Rear bumper covers, on the XL models, are they interchangeable from all models?

I know this has been discussed at some point, but I think it might have been over "at that other place".

What all is involved in putting the Ascender tails on the Envoy? I have the option to snag some up cheap, and if I get this 06 Envoy Denali, would like to have them

So I just found a junk yard with an '05 Isuzu ascender still with tail lights. My question is would they be a direct replacement for my '04 envoy XL, or would I have to get some new pigtails for the sockets to go between brands? Any info would be most helpful and thanks in advance.
