Wife picked up an elink dash cam 32gig from work the other day. Just wondering what video quality are you guys running for yours.

Run the highest. Even if it overwrites older videos, your most recent will be kept. Or get a bigger memory card if you're afraid of losing something.

As the others have said, it's probably better to run the highest, especially if you're installing it for potential need / safety vs 'just for fun'.

If something happens where you 'need' the footage, having better resolution may make the difference for you. In those cases, you really need the last few minutes of recording, so no need to worry about saving more than 15 (?) min or so, and just overwrite as needed (if it has an option for 'overwrite on powerup', that's convenient, but be careful if it ever records something you need to keep!)

Ya unfortunately the cam has a 32Gig max capacity. Was thinking about recording in a lower resolution to gain more run time.

How long would that be? How much do you need to keep? I would at least use 720p
