THIS One is a BEAUTY of the Technical, Engineering and Materials Science describing the various benefits and failures associated when choosing between High Grade Steel, HG Aluminum... or "Carbon-Carbon" for manufacturing Connecting Rods for Automotive Engines.

Time will tell if they ever finally do manage to make some of these for eventual use inside the engines meant for our "Daily Drivers"... but knowing that CC CAN be successfully applied here is a fascinating story of comparisons in itself that we can all enjoy:

An Honorable Mention and a 'RIP' here is in order ..for "Good Fella" Ray Liotta

Oh What The Hell...

After doing such a Good Job on such an arcane and esoteric automotive subject, we might as well listen to the VOP (Video Original Poster) regale us all about the Small Block Chevrolet V-8 Engines and of course he includes a Deep Dive into The History of The Redoubtable LS Motor:

Probably won't be long before they're 3D-printing engine internals.

Actually, no... at least for new cars. But I could see CF internals adapted to motorsport applications, maybe?

I would imagine it would come down to CF shortages, and China.
