Clunking noise on light acceleration

Has anyone experienced clunking/rattle noise on very slow acceleration in straight line? It doesn't always happen and, strangely, only happens after interstate driving and pulling at a light and slowly letting go of the brake pedal. It usually comes with a thump in the rear end that feels like a misfire. I don't have a front drive shaft or CV axles so, i'm not sure if its a u joint, transmission, TC, or whatever else. 240K miles

Grease the splines of the driveshaft tranny yoke. I had it coming to a stop.

You have a grease fitting? Lucky you. Yes, that's the one. I had to pull the shaft to put some grease in there.

Also check your u-joints while you're there.

Thanks! Probably the previous owner had fittings drilled or something. Do you know if our trucks have the plastic u joints that you have to melt?

If they have never been replaced, yes.
