Help! I put in an aftermarket radio in my 2004 Sierra about a year ago and all of a sudden the cd/dvd player quit working ( ate my cd! )The rest of the radio works just fine! Any ideas??

Although you didn't specify the brand and model, help here may be limited because it's not an OEM unit. If still under warranty, I would contact the manufacturer. You could Google search your model and the problem to see if others have had the same issue. Beyond that, maybe all you'll be able to do is open it up and retrieve your CD and then try another CD to see if it repeats the problem. If it does, it may be toast.

Sometimes unplugged the wiring from the back of the radio, waiting for 5 minutes, and plugging it back in will work. Had that problem recently on my room mates Pioneer Radio.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely try them!
