I need to replace my lower control arm bushings #10 and #20. My question is, can I get the bracket (#21) out without removing the control arm #12?

Yes. I did it. After getting the two bushing bolts out and the bracket to frame bolts, you have to tilt the A-arm out of the bracket's way by, disconnecting the sway bar end link, tilting it using the shock mount as the pivot and pushing the whole spindle and upper A-arm up. You can then slide out the bracket from the frame.

SWEET!

That will make the job much easier then I had anticipated.

The biggest deal is to make sure you get an alignment done after wards.

It can sometimes be difficult to find a shop that is willing to adjust those lower control arm brackets.

I personally would just replace the bracket. But they are like 200 bucks! Where the bushings are like 40-60 bucks for both of them.

Take careful measurements of where the old one is in relation to the frame, then set the new one to the same measurements. That's what I did when I rebuilt the front suspension on the wife's '06 TB. I knew the toe-in would be off, and it was, but for caster and camber, counting both sides, I nailed 3 out of the 4 measurements. Just take your time.

Take careful measurements...

The alignment has always been part of the plan.

We just got this vehicle in Mar of last year and knew right away it needed a lot of new parts up front as well as new tires.

Our local Big-O guaruntees aligment for 6 months so we planned all this around the tire purchase.. I'll finish the front end, get the aligment, then go back in a few months to get the tires. At which time they will recheck the alignment and if any further adjustments are needed, it will be free.
