What is on the front of this 'voy XUV? I have never seen one of these before. Brushguard right? I sort of like the looks of it. What material? Is it made of Nerf? or is this hard metal? Where do you get one?

I kind of like it. Wonder what it would look like on TB?

I believe it is aluminum, and it does not fit trailblazer, only envoy/rainier

I believe it is molded to the bumper cover/ grill and hence will not interface with the trailblazer.

Welp, time for some brave and naive soul to fork up $400 and put the debate to rest :rotfl:

Interesting. Seems to be a whole section devoted to the GM Accessories I'd always heard about but never seen. As in, I've seen talk of official accessories but have never EVER seen one. Like the ski carrier. Or the "highway emergency kit" #12497328. Or an official emergency reflective triangle! #22745654. This website is a hoot.

And I found a part number for the assist steps I have! Apparently they WERE an option on the TrailBlazer. I've never ever ever seen another TB with them. Search "GM 12498709" on Google Images, first two results are the style I'm talking about.

Also under the chevroletpartspeople.com website they have organizer trays that fit the cargo area. GM Accessories, why must you be so hard to find when you have such neat stuff!?

Looks like it mounts to the factory tow hook location, as for being molded, I can see how it follows the contours of the Envoy. It would probably fit fine, but may not look right.

I know this thread is a bit old but I figured I could lend some insite into this brushguard. I purchased an envoy recently that has this guard installed. I've never seen another envoy with it.

The frame of the guard is all steel. The plastic is clipped into and around the steel as a decorative cover. It makes the guard look much beefier than it actually is. The top tube is aluminum. I'm not sure how its secured or how its reinforced if any. I have yet to take the plastic covers off.

The guard is bolted at four points. The lower part bolts where the factory tow hooks would go. Two brackets go through grill and bolt into something back there. Most likely somewhere on the radiator support.

I'm not sure how much weight this can support or how much of an impact it can take. I can stand on it (220lbs) without it flexing but I definitely wouldn't use it as a recovery point. It's mainly an aesthetic accessory.
