Hey everyone,

Didn't know if there was a better spot to post it but...

I was wondering what people liked with brush guards on our vehicles.
I've read people liked the waag because does not lose us any ground clearance. I saw the hunter one and think it looked like junk. I was thinking about going with a steelcraft probably it seems to fit the vehicle nicely and have some good mounting points. Anyone have one? Anyone think there is a better option out there? Im just looking for some deer protection at 70mph but would like it to look decent too.

A close encounter with a deer got me to thinking about a deer rated brush guard. Had one running full speed from the woods across the road and into the woods on the other side last night. I was traveling at about 55mph. I did not see it until it was about 20ft in front on me. I hit the brake hard then let off to raise the front end back up. The deer got bumped and continued running. No damage. Just a little hair transfer.

When i go fishing out on post, i have seen up to 30 deer. Had one that i swear teleported in front of my maxima. It had to have jumped over the car from the drivers side landing 6ft in front toward the passenger side but in the middle. I was only traveling at 30mph.

I have a Hunter, and while it is not as nice (or as sturdy) as the Wagg brand, I hardly think it looks like Junk. Having hit 2 deer and a piece of shredded truck tire since it was on, I am really glad I had it.

Barton sells the bumper kits and you can add light guards on. I have a hunter bull bar, but it's only for lights.

So I have narrowed it down to the Steelcraft or Aries.
Both are the same price on auto anything and they both look pretty good as far as reviews go.

Anyone got any means of persuasion? Or some decent pics?

Check out the Go Rhino 3000 series. I think the headlight guards are tacky; at least on the hunter. I had an Aries brand brush guard with headlight guards on my Colorado that allowed for the "prison bars" that cover the headlight to be removed. Regardless, I would rather have radiator protection as I drive in remote areas and would be more concerned with those items failing versus headlight-fender protection.
