I saw this and thought he was either trying to keep up or driving a road he knew and got caught up filming himself. I am impressed with how quick the airbags deployed. Definite Darwin nominee

Definitely a lucky guy. The air bag deploying was the first thing I noticed. I am sure the M3 has the top of the line safety features, which probably saved his life and the seat belt.

Yeah his car looked super messed up everywhere except for right where he was sitting which was perfectly intact. That means the car absorbed the impact instead of him! BMW gets some safety points in my book after seeing this! Mom wants to get the X5 even tho I told her to go Chevy

Tell her to get a Avalanche, saw a guy that got pushed in cement dividers on hwy going 65 rolled it 6 times and changed a blown out tire and drove it home. Tough ass truck!

dude is lucky those are apparently very safe cars, sucks to see it afterwards...i'm wondering if he had been on that road and experienced that curve before (didn't read backstory)

My guess is that he knew the road, loves the sound of his car and thought it'd make a great video. Realized he wasnt going THAT fast, loses his thoughts and understeers in a tight J turn. Understeer on that corner on an M3 to me means he was driving a car that was obviously faster than he is a driver. You're not supposed to go flying into an apex like that without at least attempting to point the nose

unfortunately for him, he taped his own BAD mistake. There's a kid who wrecks his dad's M3 out there. Hot over a hump and understeer sends him in the rocks

Yeah he went into that turn way too inside, and probably would have been okay if it was a 90 degree turn but it was deceptive like you were coming out of it and then went another 90 degrees and then he lost it.

Remember though, it's his camera so he was probably the one who posted it to educate others and I don't want to rag on somebody for having a nice car especially since it was his to screw up!
