Well here it is after several people have mentioned I should start a build thread I am finally doing it. :yes:

This is what it looked like when I got it. Right away I had to fix the fuel gauge sending unit.

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:808]
[sharedmedia=gallery:images:806]

The first round of upgrades came with 22" replica wheels with nitto tires, Callahan full brake kit w/ drilled and slotted rotors, and all ceramic pads, New HP shocks, and I took care of the little caliper problem.....why get wheels and expose dirt and rust? :2thumbsup:

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:108]

Almost immediately I decided to lower it, I got lowering springs and did 3" front, 4" rear drop, Made custom upper control arms, and replaced all the ball joints.

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:102]
[sharedmedia=gallery:images:103]

A couple of months later I decided it was time to start some paint matching so I got The correct color code and got the paint.

07-09 Rear Wiper Upgrade

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:541]

Threw in some ICE (In Car Entertainment)

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:510]
[sharedmedia=gallery:images:511]

Shaved the Roof Rack!!

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:588]
[sharedmedia=gallery:images:538]

Removed the spare wheel and hoist, Installed an Entire exhaust system from header all the way to the back. (no pics)

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:536]

I decided I wanted to modify my lights so I started with the Quad tail light Mod.

[sharedmedia=gallery:images:660]

I recently Installed all LED lights which I will have to take more pictures of.

I will ad to this thread when I can, there is a lot more that I just don't seem to really have pictures readily available.

Thanks for Looking!!

Next big mod for your rig is?

Nice build and great pics of it all!
Lil Capote knows some secrets [emoji12]

Tis a great rig in person. Videos don't do it justice. I was really lucky to actually give it a whirl. Lots more powerful than mine.

Nooo don't even bother with an LT headlight/grill conversion. Too many parts involved bro

Don't forget the entire piece behind grill, the whole assembly for the grill & lights

3 parts? Headlights and grill? I think I want one like Dave.
Do it! Not many people like the look of the LT headlights and grille. I was not a fan of the OE grille, but I love the LT Spec-D grille. I do believe the only issue you will have is that the LT grille will not fit with the LS bumper. The cut out on the top portion of the bumper cover is not deep enough for the grille. There was another member on here back in the day that had a grille like my Spec-D one and he had to trim an inch or two off of the bottom of the grille to make it fit.

I'm planning to make something similar to that. LT bumper, Spec-D grille, and some LS crossbar pieces. That way when I take my headlights out (cuz you know I do that a lot) I won't have to remove my grille anymore.

If I can find this grill I want it badly!! Help me find it please.

I would imagine that is custom made along with the "wide body" kit. I really like the concept of combining the LT grille with the SS/LS grille.

I do not care what people say, LT headlights FTW! :yes:

Added a small mod today. I cut my antenna down to match the height of my roof. It is pretty simple and only took about 15 min. I torched the end and remove the ball, cut the antenna, drilled the bell out with a .106 drill bit, then brazed it back on with some silvaloy. Instead of painting it, I chose to heat shrink the end because of the cold weather.

I also decided to bend it to match the truck more, eventually I am planning on deleting it and putting a new one inside the windshield. But this will do for now.

Reception actually seems better now? Lol

Maybe hide an antenna inside the interior part of the a pillar? just a though, idk how well that would work. I don't even have an antenna on my rig, removed it long ago. I don't listen to the radio, just Pandora from Bluetooth

That seems good. I didn't lose much reception w mine laid under the cowl, or I guess notice any, until we moved 50 miles from neatest radio station and things were nit as clear. When we lived 15 miles from downtown Indy it was great. Good function and smooth look.
