i was considering selling my heads and going back to 243s just so i could run an lsxrt. primarily because it looks awesome

edlebrock and holley is cool but shorter runners move up your powerband.

What stall speed is your tc btw?

Well it is at the machine shop, only things that sucks is a turn around time is still kind of in the air walking through the shop seems like he had his plate full which I guess is a 2 way thing hes in high demand but comes with a long customer line. I'm not trying to rush anything do it once do it right.

Will do sir, cant wait to fire it up when the time comes!

If anyone is even interested we have for now a, VERY "Local" Facebook page updating the build. Should grow with time once LSnation shares the build when we get it rolling.

Sparky said:
I think you just need a 4L80E in there or a built 4L60E. The 4L70E is such a joke, strikes me like the 4L70E is almost weaker than the 60 as I don't hear about near as many blown up 60Es on forums like LS1tech.
don't mean to dig up old posts lol (how long has this build been going on?) but I missed this the first time around.

a 4L70E IS a 4L60E with the addition of hardened input/output shafts, 5 pinion planetaries, an extra friction in the 3/4 pack. i think a trust washer or two is replaced with a bearing, some valve body mods maybe

The BUILD portion started in September, me talking aimlessly about buying parts and changing my plan fourteen times over that's been happening since the beginning of time.

Giving the folks an update, I have not abandoned the build no worries. Machine shop has stage 1 done and we have agreed that I will not bring him the rotating assembly till post Xmas. He wants a free plate and does not want to build this motor while his shop is as busy as it is. Which I can agree with bringing 3k worth of parts I do not want this guy getting pulled off to handle some others problems and making a mistake. Parts still pile up can't be far off from being 100% ready need to review my list.
