today on my way home from a quick trip my trucks headlights and heater acted like they were gonna die? My headlights went dim for a short sec and my heater did the same? My first thought was the alternator was acting up. If my serp belt was slipping would that cause this? my headlights flicker sometimes could this be related? ill have my alt checked tomorrow i guess... i dont think my belt is loose my buddy suggested that. Thanks!

I was going to say get the alternator checked out. Sounds like one of your brushes is almost gone. But this is just speculation. Has there been any major or electrical work done to the vehicle in the past 3 years? I would also check the condition of the battery cables to see if there is any corrosion underneath the red and black boots. Thats where the cables terminate. Also inspect the side terminal bolts for corrosion and stripped thread. You will need to pry them out with a flat blade screwdriver in order to check the terminals.
