A lot of guys with lowered tb's or in my case envoys put on lowering struts, why not drop shocks? Is it just the ride that's affected?

Drop shocks don't actually lower the rear of the truck. They are shorter and have different valuing to improve the ride with lowering springs.

The front drop struts, however, are adjustable and actually love the spring up and down...changing the ride height.

Ok, but what is the ride quality difference? What are the cons and pros of having drop shocks ?

front is the belltech lowering struts which is valved different to give a better ride and hug the road better. The rear is a drop shock becuase its a shorter shock which in turn makes the ride better.

Rear are a shock design front is a strut design totally different.
