Battery Testing, Maintenance And Myths

found this site with helpful info, and learned about conductance testing, which provides CCA measurement without pulling a high load from the battery.

decided to order one of these:

(since I am keeping four cars going, should come in handy)

what does everyone else do to test battery? or just wait for time/ evidence of failure?

I go to Walmart or the auto parts store and let them check it for free.

I bought a 100 amp battery load tester from Harbor Freight when they had a sale.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to check my battery before winter.
