Hey gang,

I just changed out both front rotors/pads and today i noticed a 'clicking' sound coming from my left front during a slow / tight turn.
I suspect its the outer bearing going out. Both inner/outer boots had no signs of leaking.

I had a BAD shimmy during braking prior to the rotor/pad replacement, but now im still getting a slight high speed vibrfation as well. MUCH improved tho. Not sure if its the rear rotors or if i can tie it to the drivers side axle bearings going out. I changed this same axle about 5 yrs ago. Guess its time again.
Just looked on Amazon and the Cardone is $49!

Anyone know if a worn CV can cause a shimmy during braking ?

Thanks,
Mark

clicking during a turn is usually a worn outer cv joint. The boot can look fine and the joint can be defective.

Thanks guys. I tugged on the axle today. The drivers side is looser than the pass, but both boots are in perfect shape. Must have failed internally as mentioned. Just ordered the half shaft from Amazon for $50.
